The Boston Red Sox have activated right-hander Liam Hendriks from the 15-day injured list, marking his first appearance since June 2023, though he has never pitched in a regular-season game for the team. The 36-year-old, who signed a two-year, $10-million contract in February 2024 while recovering from Tommy John surgery and a battle with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, had a successful rehab stint, throwing three scoreless innings with five strikeouts. In a corresponding move, the Red Sox optioned right-hander Hunter Dobbins to Triple-A.
