Caleb Durbin is set to make his MLB debut tonight as the Brewers’ primary third baseman against A’s right-hander J.T. Ginn, following his promotion from Triple-A Nashville, which involved optioning Oliver Dunn. Durbin, acquired in the Devin Williams trade, had a solid minor league performance, hitting .275/.388/.451 in 90 games last season and .278/.316/.481 with two homers in 13 games this season. The Brewers’ third base has struggled, posting a league-worst .150/.188/.233, prompting Durbin’s call-up to improve the position.
