The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forward Sam Poulin from their AHL affiliate, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, on an emergency basis ahead of their final game of the 2024-25 season against the Washington Capitals. This decision comes as forward Kevin Hayes is a game-time decision due to a lower-body injury, and defenseman P.O. Joseph has been ruled out, leaving the team with insufficient healthy players. Poulin, a first-round pick in 2019, has played six NHL games this season with one point and has recorded 19 goals and 43 points in 56 AHL games.
