Matthews, who reached this milestone in his 628th game, is now the sixth-fastest player to do so and joins Mats Sundin as the only Maple Leaf to score 400 goals for the franchise. The victory also saw Mitch Marner achieve a career-high 100 points, and the Maple Leafs will face the Ottawa Senators in the playoffs as the Eastern Conference’s second seed.
