However, there is concern as Babar Azam, the captain of Zalmi, suffered an injury during a practice session just before the start of the season, leaving his availability for the tournament uncertain. Despite the injury scare, Zalmi will kick off their campaign against Quetta Gladiators on April 12, with hopes that Babar Azam will recover in time to lead the team and help them secure a PSL trophy they have not won since 2017.
