Colts HC Shane Steichen announced that QBs Anthony Richardson and Daniel Jones will split first-team reps this spring in an open competition for the starting job, dispelling any notion of Richardson having a head start. Richardson must improve significantly from his disappointing 2024 season, while Jones brings a more polished passing game and rushing ability, making the winner a fantasy asset with Richardson possessing top-10 upside and Jones serving as a QB2 option. Indianapolis’ skill-position players, including WRs Michael Pittman and Josh Downs, as well as RB Jonathan Taylor, would benefit from Jones winning the job, as he excels in the short and intermediate passing game.
