Despite leaving the game with an apparent shoulder injury, Brunson returned and was deemed fine by coach Tom Thibodeau. The win improved the Knicks to 26–14, maintaining the No. 3 spot in the Eastern Conference, while the Bucks fell to 20–17 and dropped to the fifth seed.
