Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid, who has played in only six games this season due to left knee management, suspension, and injury, returned to the lineup on Friday against the Charlotte Hornets after sustaining a sinus fracture last week. Despite not wearing a protective mask during warmups, Embiid wore one during the game and scored eight early points as the Sixers took a commanding lead in the first quarter. This game marks only the fourth time that Embiid, Paul George, and Tyrese Maxey have played together as the Sixers aim to improve their record with their “Big Three” on the court.
