The Atlanta Braves have traded outfielder Jorge Soler to the Los Angeles Angels for right-handed pitcher Griffin Canning. Soler posted a .241/.338/.442 slash line with 21 home runs and 64 RBI in 2024, split between the Braves and Giants. The move was made as Soler became expendable with Ronald Acuña Jr. set to return and the Braves likely to exercise Marcell Ozuna’s option, while Canning recorded six wins and 130 strikeouts in 31 starts for the Angels last season.
