2024 NHL Draft: Macklin Celebrini selected No. 1 overall by San Jose Sharks

In the 2024 NHL Draft, held in Las Vegas, Nevada, the San Jose Sharks selected Macklin Celebrini of Boston University as the first overall pick, marking the first time in franchise history they held this position. The remaining first round picks included players like Artyom Levshunov, Beckett Sennecke, and Michael Brandsegg-Nygard, who made history as the first Norwegian ever taken in the first round of the NHL Draft.
